"One perfect day" was created by Paul Currie in 2004 and narrates about the problems of contemporary young people, greatly influenced by television and 'star disease'. The dance scene in Melbourne serves as the setting for the movie, as it shows the story of a prospective singer. There is one more important character in the film - Tommy's girlfriend, Alysse, who becomes a drug-addict, but still dreams about the great scene of the Melbourne night clubs. And while her boyfriend is gaining knowledge at the prestigious school, the girl starts an affair with a music producer and drug dealer, Hector Lee. Furthermore, Emma dies of drug overdosing, so Tommy is eventually forced to come back and investigate the situation. Alysse confesses to her "relationship", and decides to split up with Hector, but the man kills her, injecting some poison into the girl's neck so that she passes away in Tommy's arms. The whole film is pessimistic as it cues at the 'street life' and 'club youth', who live according to the principle 'live fast, die young' and exceed the normal speed of human life.
