• Late Summer Bank Holiday - last Monday of August or on the first Monday of September.
• The New Year's Day is also a public holiday in Scotland.

• Mother's Day in March on the fourth Sunday in Lent;
• April Fool's Day on April 1 is the day of playing practical jokes;
• Bonfire Night on November 5.
