On the other hand, attitude to friendship has become much more careless, and people lose their friends as easily as they acquire them, because friendship is no longer perceived as a priceless and 'fragile' aspect of human relationships.
To conclude, modern Americans make friends dissimilarly to their ancestors, and the perception of friendship has also been modified.
