2.21. Feedback Essay
A feedback essay is aimed at providing an evaluation of an experience (of essay writing, conduct research or listening to the classmate's speech). Feedback papers, in spite of their name refer to academic writing, so there are several rules, which determine the paper quality.
First of all, a successful feedback paper contains in the first paragraph a statement of the positive context (e.g. "The film was interesting"). Secondly, only constructive and objective criticism is welcomed. It would be counterproductive to evaluate, for instance, the outfit of the person who delivers the presentation, it would be more useful to focus on the question whether their behavior demonstrates doubts or the lack of assertiveness. It would be also interesting to the reader to receive the author's suggestions for improvement. Finally, the writer is expected to indicate whether the project or subject, which is being evaluated, is useful to them as well as the points of its helpfulness.
